  • Measure the knuckle too to be sure of a comfortable fit
  • If you have a large knuckle, measure the base of the finger and the knuckle and select a size between the two measurements
  • Choose a size that lets you slide the ring on and off pretty easily
  • Always remember that ring size may vary slightly based on the model of the ring (i.e. between an Engagement Ring, a Band and a Signet Ring)
  • If you're undecided, go for the bigger of the two sizes
  • If you plan on wearing multiple rings on the same finger, consider going a size up from your own, for a more comfortable fit
  • It's best to measure your ring size in the evening or during the warmest part of the day, as finger size may vary
  • Remember that the fingers on the dominant hand tend to be larger
  • Wrap a piece of string around the base of the finger you wish to measure.
  • Use a marker to mark the spot where the two ends meet.
  • Spread the string out on a ruler and measure the length in millimetres. This is the measurement of the circumference of your finger.
